Leea Indica

​​Leea indica is a large evergreen shrub generally found distributed in the forest. It carries different vernacular names such as bandicoot berry (English), memali (Malay), and huo tong shu (Chinese). It is commonly used to treat leukemia in Chinese community.  Traditional uses: Treatment of cancer, diabetes, diarrhea, spasm, skin diseases. ​Taste:  Astringent taste
